Using a medium of your choice (oils, mixed media, graphite and charcoal) you will work from the nude figure and explore ways of seeing from observation. Quick warm up poses followed by a long pose for the day. All levels welcome.
What to bring: Conquest House studio is well equipped with easels, tables, boards, sketching stools, paper (£1 per A1 sheet) materials which are provided for your use on any courses you may book. However, you would require a set of brushes or any paint materials (e.g. oil, acrylic and watercolour paints) that you would prefer to use, please bring them with you. It may also be useful to bring a plastic folder or portfolio to transport your work home. If your course involves working outside we would recommend you bring warm waterproof clothing and sturdy walking shoes/boots.
Smocks/aprons are provided for working in but we do also recommend wearing old clothes.
Transportation for any field trips is provided where appropriate.
Entrance fees to galleries/museums where part of the course.
Refreshments provided throughout the day.
Timings and Breaks: Courses run 10 am to 4.00 pm each day: Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided and there will be an hour for lunch. There are plenty of nearby places to eat or you are welcome to bring a packed lunch into the studio.
